Foundry Overview
Mouat has more than forty year’s foundry design construction experience. We have performed design-build projects for most of the major automotive foundries in the U.S. This list includes Ford, Chrysler, GM, and Honda as well as tier one suppliers such as Grede, Intermet and Citation. Our expertise is not limited to the automotive foundries. Mouat has designed and built foundries for customers supplying iron and steel castings in almost every market segment. Our projects have extended across the U.S. and throughout Mexico.
Harry G. Mouat was established in 1924, selling equipment to the foundry industry. In the mid-1970’s foundries began looking for companies that could design, install, and start-up their equipment. As a result of customer demand, The Mouat Company expanded to become a turnkey design/build contractor. We focused on foundries exclusively until 2003 when we began diversifying into designing and building frac sand plants, mineral processing plants, and other industrial facilities. We have honed our expertise in design and process control to set standards in the industry for process consistency and hence consistency of the finished product.
We have an extensive historical database of constructions costs. We maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. This allows us to quickly provide our foundry clients with a concept and fixed price for their facility, while still in the early conceptual stages of the process.
Foundry design construction customers need facilities that operate efficiently, reduce capital and minimize labor. We combine time-tested technologies across multiple industries to meet our customers’ needs. From concept development to start-up, we strive for excellence and customer satisfaction. We are committed to our customers’ long-term objectives and profitability. As a testament to the quality of our work, over 70 percent of our business is repeat business.
