Greenfield Casting Facility

Based on the relationship established through performing multiple successful projects for Grede Foundries, Mouat was chosen as the foundry design build contractor for a greenfield foundry in Monterrey, Mexico to produce castings for the Mexican and U.S. automotive markets.

Mouat provided the general arrangement for the overall facility and design for the melt system, Sinto tight-flask molding system, sand system, and core making facilities. The project included design for environmental and electrical systems.

Responsibilities included the procurement of equipment and fabrication of structures. Mouat also provided project management services as well as on-site field management services to supervise installation crews.
