Bonded Materials

Kapolei, Hawaii

Bonded Materials contracted with Mouat to design and build a new cement specialties mixing plant adjacent to their existing cement blending plant in Kapolei, Hawaii.

SCOPE OF WORK

Mouat was responsible for design, procurement, electrical systems including motor control center and PLC controls, construction management and start-up of this facility. This plant produces the specialty Quikrete products sold in Hawaii as well as some of Bonded Material’s proprietary products.

The scope of this project included storage silos for raw materials, weigh batching systems under the silos, conveyance systems to two batch paddle mixers, finished product bagging systems and an environmental dust collection system. The facility was designed to package and ship products in bulk bags, 50-80 pound bags and 5 gallon containers.
